About trails in Thailand
Northern Thailand holds the country's most demanding routes. The Chiang Mai Off-Road Loop covers 156 km of forest tracks and mountain roads rising to about 1,400 m, and the Chiang Dao Ping Khong Loop rides through valleys beneath the limestone massif of Doi Chiang Dao. In the west, Sangkhlaburi Bikepacking Day One explores hilly roads near the Myanmar border in Kanchanaburi province.
In the northeast, the Song Dao Phu Phan Hill Drive climbs into the Phu Phan range of Sakon Nakhon, and the Phu Sing Village Walk offers an easy hike in rural Kalasin. The Gulf of Thailand coast adds the Ban Krut to Phetkasem Coast Drive in Prachuap Khiri Khan and trails in the hills behind Bang Lamung.

- November to February is cool and dry and ideal for riding; March to May is very hot, with smoke haze common in the north, and the monsoon from June to October brings heavy rain.

- Mostly moderate to hard routes on steep mountain roads, dirt forest tracks and rural lanes, climbing to about 1,400 m in the north.
