Safety Protocol

Safety
Guidelines.

The difference between an adventure and a disaster is preparation. Follow these definitive standards for high-altitude off-roading.

Risk Management

Always inform someone of your route and expected return time. Off-roading in remote areas like Limi or Spiti means zero cellular coverage. Ensure you have a detailed trip plan shared with local contacts before departure.

High-Altitude Protocol

Altitude sickness is real. Acclimatize for at least 48 hours at 3,000m before pushing higher. Carry medical-grade oxygen if traversing passes above 4,500m.

Recovery Safety

Never stand near a kinetic recovery rope or winch cable under tension. Use dampeners and ensure all shackles are rated for at least 3x your vehicle's GVM.

Communication

VHF/UHF radios are essential for convoy communication. Establish clear hand signals for spotting in areas where radio interference is high.

Emergency Contact Protocol

In the event of an emergency, broadcast on Channel 16 (VHF) or established local radio frequencies. Provide your exact WGS84 coordinates from your TrailX Engine v2.0 dashboard.
