Trails in Emilia-Romagna

Emilia-Romagna runs from the flat Po plain up to the crest of the northern Apennines, and nearly all of its routes here are for riders. In the Romagna Apennines, the Fiumicello to Giogo MTB Loop and the Pietrapazza and Rio Petroso MTB Loop explore the beech and fir forests around Premilcuore and Bagno di Romagna, in and around the Foreste Casentinesi National Park, climbing above 1,000 m on steep, remote tracks.

At the western end of the region, the Val Tidone to Val Trebbia Ride links two wine valleys in the hills south of Piacenza. The Talamello and Monte Pincio Enduro Loop tackles rough ground in the Marecchia valley, and the Castel San Pietro Hills Loop rolls through the hills east of Bologna. For an easy day, the San Mauro Pascoli to Bellaria Ride runs to the Adriatic beaches.
