Trails in Ukraine

Ukraine's routes cover the country from the Carpathians in the west to the steppe in the east. In Zakarpattia, the Borzhava Ridge 4x4 Route climbs to about 1,660 m on the open meadows of one of the Carpathians' long, grassy ridges. In the north, the Varash to Korosten Polissia Drive and the Zhytomyr to Makariv Forest Off-Road Route cross the forests and wetlands of Polissia.

Along the Dnipro River, the Kaniv Dnipro Hills Walk explores the high right bank near the grave of Taras Shevchenko, and the Obukhiv Hills Ride uses rolling farmland south of Kyiv. The Zhytomyr Road Bike Tour offers longer distances on quiet country roads. The Feodosia to Yalta Crimean Coast Drive follows the southern Crimean coast, though check whether travel there is possible before planning it.
