Trails in Netherlands

The Netherlands is flat but still varied, and its routes cover more than polders. In Gelderland, the Rheden and Rozendaal Veluwe Ride climbs the Veluwezoom, where forest and heath rise on glacial moraine, some of the hilliest riding in the country. In North Brabant, the Somerense Heide and Pan Hugten Ride is a longer gravel-and-path loop across the heathland near Heeze-Leende.

Walkers can take the Grift and Graftenpad Walk, Rhenen along the Utrechtse Heuvelrug ridge above the Nederrijn, or the Anderen Drenthe Walk through the quiet farmland and woods of the northeast. The Houten to Hilversum Utrecht Ride links the Kromme Rijn countryside with the Gooi. One route is not in Europe at all: the Seru Largu Santa Martha Hike, Curaçao climbs a small hill on the Caribbean island.
