About trails in the Czechia

Czechia's routes cross the country from the spa region in the west to the mountains of the northeast. The Liberec over the Jizera Mountains Ride climbs to about 1,040 m through forests near the Polish border, and the Falcon Ultimate Enduro, Jeseník is an extreme 45 km mountain bike course in the Jeseníky range in the Olomouc Region.

In the west, the Loket to Waldsassen Ride starts at a castle town on the Ohře River and crosses into Bavaria, and the Třebíč to Velké Meziříčí Ride tackles the rolling hills of the Vysočina Region. The Prague to Slapy Reservoir Drive follows the Vltava valley south of the capital to one of its largest dams.

Best time to go
May to September is the main season, and September is a good time for mild weather and fewer crowds. Winter brings snow to the mountains, which are then used for skiing.
Terrain
Terrain is hilly to mountainous, with climbs up to about 1,040 m. Most routes are hard, and the enduro course is extreme.
Permits & access
Czechia has an extensive network of signed cycle routes. Driving on motorways requires an electronic vignette, bought online before use.
