Added on 14 Oct 2026
Logged by @trailx

The tarred road from the Sesriem gate runs about 60 km west along the Tsauchab valley between the red dunes of the Namib Sand Sea, passing Dune 45, to the 2x4 parking area. From there the last stretch to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei is deep sand, covered by 4x4 or shuttle.
