Big Daddy Dune and Deadvlei Loop
From the Deadvlei car park a sand route climbs the long ridge of Big Daddy, one of the highest dunes in the Sossusvlei area, then descends the steep face straight down into Deadvlei with its dead camel thorn trees on a white clay pan. The loop is about 6.5-7 km with roughly 250-280 m of climbing.
