Bhopal to Bhojpur Ride

Added on 14 Oct 2026
Logged by @trailx

A road ride south-east from Bhopal to Bhojpur, home to the unfinished 11th-century Bhojeshwar Temple of the Paramara king Bhoja on the Betwa. The temple's 2.3 m lingam and the construction plans engraved on surrounding rocks make it a popular half-day destination from Bhopal.

Best time to go

Oct–Mar

October to March suits most of the country. The southwest monsoon (June to September) floods the Western Ghats and Kerala, but it is also the main season for Ladakh and Spiti, where high passes are usually open only from June to October.
