Pipariya to Pachmarhi Ghat Road
The classic way up to Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh's only hill station. From the railhead at Pipariya the road crosses farmland, enters the forests of the Satpura range and climbs a winding ghat onto the Pachmarhi plateau, inside the Pachmarhi Biosphere Reserve. Sal and teak forest, sandstone cliffs and the first views of the plateau make this a scenic hour behind the wheel.

Best time to go
Oct–Mar
October to March suits most of the country. The southwest monsoon (June to September) floods the Western Ghats and Kerala, but it is also the main season for Ladakh and Spiti, where high passes are usually open only from June to October.
