Shrikhand Mahadev Kailash Trek
One of India's hardest pilgrim treks: from the Singhgad roadhead above Jaon to the Shrikhand Mahadev rock lingam at about 5,200 m, over the Kali Ghati ridge, past Bhim Talai, Bhim Dwar and the flower meadows of Parvati Bagh, and up the final boulder fields.

Trail Profile
General Instructions
Drive to Jaon near Nirmand (Kullu) and on to the Singhgad roadhead. Most pilgrims take 3–4 days up, camping at Thachru, Kunsha/Bhim Dwar and Parvati Bagh, and 2 days down. Expect long steep climbs, a big descent after Kali Ghati that you regain later, glacier moraine and boulder fields above Nain Sarovar. Go during the official yatra, acclimatise, and turn back in bad weather.

Best time to go
Jun–Sep
Mid-June to late September is the season for high passes. Spiti and Lahaul lie in a rain shadow and stay fairly dry during the monsoon, but the Kullu and Chamba approaches often get landslides in July and August. Sach Pass is usually snowbound from late October until June.
