Ratnagiri to Ganpatipule Coast Road

Added on 14 Oct 2026
Logged by @trailx

The most scenic short drive on the Ratnagiri coast. From Ratnagiri the road climbs onto the headlands north of town and runs along the cliffs above the twin beaches of Aare and Ware, with wide views of the Arabian Sea, before dropping down to Ganpatipule and its beachside Ganpati temple.

Best time to go

Oct–Feb

October to February is the most comfortable season, with clear skies after the rains. The June to September monsoon turns the ghats green but makes rock sections slippery and brings landslide risk, and April and May are hot.
