Mount Kenya Sirimon Route to Point Lenana

Added on 14 Oct 2026
Logged by @trailx

The Sirimon route climbs the dry northern side of Mount Kenya from Sirimon Gate (about 2,600 m) through forest and moorland to Old Moses Camp (3,300 m), then past the Liki North valley to Shipton's Camp (4,200 m) below the main peaks. The final pre-dawn push reaches Point Lenana (4,985 m), the highest summit on the mountain that trekkers can reach without technical climbing.
