Kudremukh Peak Trek
A trek over the rolling grasslands and shola forests of Kudremukh National Park to the 1,894 m 'horse face' peak that gives the range its name. From the forest office near Mullodi, a jeep track and path climb past Lobo's House and the lone Ontimara tree to the summit, with views across the Western Ghats towards the Arabian Sea on clear days. Kudremukh is one of the protected areas of the Western Ghats UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Oct–Feb
October to February is best for both plateau rides and ghat treks. The southwest monsoon from June to September brings very heavy rain to Agumbe and the coast, and March to May is hot on the plateau.
