Kishkindha Walk: Anjanadri Hill, Pampa Sarovar and Anegundi
A walk through the boulder country across the Tungabhadra from Hampi, the landscape tradition identifies with Kishkindha, kingdom of the vanaras. From Hanumanahalli it climbs the whitewashed steps of Anjanadri Hill, held by many to be Hanuman's birthplace, to the temple on top, then continues to the lotus pond of Pampa Sarovar, past the cave associated with Vali, to the old fortified village of Anegundi.

Best time to go
Oct–Feb
October to February is best for both plateau rides and ghat treks. The southwest monsoon from June to September brings very heavy rain to Agumbe and the coast, and March to May is hot on the plateau.
