Col du Télégraphe (1,566 m) is one of the great Tour de France climbs. The classic side starts in Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne: 11.8 km at an average 7.2%, gaining 846 m. The usual lead-in to the Galibier. First Tour appearance: 1911 (37 crossings since 1947).
