Chitrakoot Forest Road: Ramghat to Sati Anusuya Ashram
A short drive up the Mandakini river from Ramghat, the heart of Chitrakoot, into the forested Vindhya hills where tradition places Rama, Sita and Lakshmana during their years of exile. The road follows the river south past Janaki Kund and Sphatik Shila to the ashram of Sati Anusuya, deep in the forest.
