C26 Gamsberg Pass and Kuiseb Pass: Windhoek to Walvis Bay

Added on 14 Oct 2026
Logged by @trailx

This gravel route leaves Windhoek on the C26, crosses the Khomas Hochland and drops off the escarpment by the Gamsberg Pass, then joins the C14 to cross the Kuiseb Canyon at the Kuiseb Pass before running across the Namib to Walvis Bay. It is the standard alternative when the Gaub Pass on the C14 is closed.
