B4 Aus to Lüderitz via Kolmanskop

Added on 14 Oct 2026
Logged by @trailx

The B4 runs west from Aus across the Namib to the coast at Lüderitz, passing the Garub plain where the feral desert horses gather at a water point and, near the end, the ghost town of Kolmanskop, a former diamond-mining settlement now half-filled with sand. The road crosses the edge of the Sperrgebiet diamond area.
