Ounila Valley Road: Telouet to Ait Benhaddou

Added on 14 Oct 2026
Logged by @trailx

This road (P1506) follows the Ounila valley, a historic caravan route that carried salt and Saharan goods across the High Atlas, from the Glaoui kasbah at Telouet past Anemiter and Tamdakhte to the ksar of Ait Benhaddou. It is a quieter alternative to the N9 between the Tichka pass and Ouarzazate, through red-earth villages and green river terraces.
