South of Tafraoute a road crosses a pass and descends into the Ait Mansour gorge, a narrow canyon filled with palm groves and small villages, then continues along the P1927 to the oasis of Afella Ighir. The road is paved to the valley entrance; the track beyond changes with the seasons and rainfall.
