Tikal Temples Walk
A loop through the jungle ruins of Tikal, one of the greatest cities of the Classic Maya. From the museums near the entrance, forest paths lead to the Great Plaza between Temples I and II, out to Temple IV, the tallest pyramid, then through Mundo Perdido (the Lost World complex) and past Temple V. Tikal National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, listed for both its ruins and its rainforest.

General Instructions
About 5.3 km as a loop on flat forest paths, with a few staircases on the temples. It is hot and humid year-round: carry plenty of water and insect repellent, and start at opening time for cooler air and more wildlife. Some temple stairways are closed to climbing; follow the signs.
