Pico de São Tomé North Trail
A steep climb through cloud forest to the summit of Pico de São Tomé, at about 2,024 m the highest point of the country. The trail climbs from the north past the Cascata Angolares waterfall and the old Roça Zafira, then follows a muddy ridge path through dense, moss-hung forest in Obô Natural Park, home to many birds found nowhere else on Earth.
