A traverse of Hallasan, South Korea's highest mountain, over the summit crater lake of Baengnokdam. The Seongpanak trail climbs gently through forest past the side trail to Sara Oreum, reaches the summit at about 1,950 m, then the Gwaneumsa trail descends steeply past the rock peak of Samgakbong and the Tamna valley. Hallasan is part of Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
